Guest Preacher: Christopher Taylor
Edit: Christopher Taylor will return to guest preach on May 9, 2021. We look forward to his return.
We look forward to hosting our next guest preacher, Christopher Taylor, March 7th through Easter. Chris currently serves as an Admissions Counselor for Pittsburgh Theological Seminary where he walks with prospective students through the application and discernment process of applying to seminary.
Chris was born here in Pittsburgh; however, he grew up in North Carolina where his family moved when he was young. Chris attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill graduating with a degree in history before making his way back to Pittsburgh. He graduated with his Master of Divinity from PTS in 2019. Chris’ ministry experience includes involvement and leadership in campus ministry at UNC, a summer of ministry in Acadia National Park, a year leading youth ministry in Raleigh, NC, and three years as a seminary intern/pastoral assistant at Parkwood United Presbyterian Church in Allison Park, PA. Currently in the ordination process, Chris is working with Pittsburgh Presbytery to have his role at PTS approved as a validated ministry to which he will seek ordination.
Chris holds a passion for the outdoors and the revelation of God in the world around us, and is particularly interested in our call to environmental justice. You can often find Chris reading, hiking, trying a new recipe from one of many YouTube cooking channels, or walking through Frick Park with his girlfriend, Rose, and her dog, Copper. Chris shares a profound gratitude for the opportunity to be in worship with Heritage Church these coming weeks.
